Free software review for independent schools

Not sure what to do about your school's software?

Book a free software review and we'll tell you straight.

Sound familiar?

  • The office types the same child into five different systems.
  • Parents have three logins and still can't find the trip form.
  • Admissions, payments, clubs and trips all live in different places.
  • The important stuff lives in one person's head, or one spreadsheet.
  • You've bought software before and staff stopped using it.

That's not a technology problem. It's a "which tool, in what order" problem. That's what the software review answers.

What "software" actually means for your school

Software isn't the scary bit.

For most schools, the right software is one system where pupils, parents, payments and admissions sit together, instead of an MIS, four add-ons and a shared inbox. Sometimes that's an off-the-shelf tool. Sometimes it's something built around how your school works. The software review tells you which.

What happens on the call

1
We look at what you use now.

The MIS, the add-ons, the spreadsheets, the paper. Five questions, 30 minutes.

2
We tell you straight.

Whether an off-the-shelf tool fits, whether custom makes sense, or whether you're fine as you are.

3
You get a written roadmap.

One page: which tools, in what order. Yours to keep whether you work with us or not.

The honest bit

Some of our software reviews end with "buy this, not us".

We build management systems for schools, so we know when you don't need one. If an off-the-shelf tool is the right answer, we'll name it and tell you how to set it up. If custom genuinely makes sense, we'll explain what that looks like. Either way, you leave knowing what to do next.

Who you'll speak to

You'll talk to the people who build it.

No call centre, no sales script. Your software review is with one of the founders, who build these systems day to day.

Questions

Is this a sales call?

No. We ask five questions about how your school runs and tell you what we'd do. If custom software makes sense, we'll say so and explain how it works. If it doesn't, we won't pitch it.

What do I need to prepare?

Nothing. A rough idea of the tools you use and what's frustrating you is plenty.

I'm not technical. Is that a problem?

No. We keep it in plain English. You tell us how the school runs; we work out the software side.

What if I don't need anything new?

Then we'll tell you, and you've lost 30 minutes. Plenty of software reviews end with "you're fine" or "just use this tool properly".

How much does it cost?

The software review is free. You keep the written roadmap whatever you decide.

Who is this for?

Independent, special and alternative provision schools. Usually the head, bursar, business manager or office manager.

Thirty minutes. A written plan. An honest answer.
